Interview process
The overall process was structured and professional, with a mix of coding, technical discussion, and behavioral questions based on Amazon Leadership Principles. The interviewers were clear and gave me space to explain my reasoning. I felt strongest when discussing my past experience, system decisions, and behavioral examples. The main area I could have handled better was time management during coding.I spent too much time thinking through some details instead of communicating my approach and iterating quickly. Overall, it was a good learning experience and helped me identify where to improve for future interviews.

Tips from the candidate
Focus on DSA fundamentals, especially graphs, trees, arrays, and hash maps, and practice explaining your approach before coding. Be comfortable discussing time/space complexity and edge cases. For behavioral rounds, prepare several strong STAR stories mapped to Amazon Leadership Principles, especially Ownership, Dive Deep, Deliver Results, and Customer Obsession. Also be ready to discuss your past projects in depth and explain technical decisions and tradeoffs.
Company culture
What stood out most was the strong sense of ownership and the emphasis on solving problems at scale. The team seemed very data-driven, collaborative, and willing to dive deep into technical details while still keeping customer impact in mind. I also liked that engineers were expected to take end-to-end responsibility rather than just focus on their individual tasks.
